Matt Schiermeier's sculptures unify stone carving, woodworking and resin casting to construct figures from wildlife and mythology. Schiermeier's materials range from precious gems to found railroad spikes, forged together to give gravity, fluidity, or a supernatural glow to his weighty subjects.
