Aaron Karp‘s paintings are extraordinarily animated. He creates a frenetic shimmering space by layering multiple shapes that push and pull repeatedly. These relationships cause a pulsing energized surface, rich in color and texture. Karp received his BA from the State University of New York, Buffalo in 1969 and his MFA from Indiana University in 1973.
